Todays topic is going to be tips and tricks for long term maintenance.
We lost the 10 pounds we wanted to lose or gained the 10 pounds we wanted. Now what? What can we do to make sure it stays that way and that you don't yoyo back into our old habits.
Well it's going to come down to one thing when it comes to weight loss. How quickly did you do this? The slower you reached that goal of yours the more sustainable its going to be because in that process you likely developed some habits that will for the most part stick with you. Its important that in this moment once you've reached your target to reflect back and take note of what worked for you and what you enjoyed about the whole process. After that, do your best to keep these habits in your lifestyle. Even if you're not as strict as you previously were you will still keep a very similar lifestyle, exercising, drinking your water, and a well balanced diet. You can continue working with your nutrition coach to continue learning and seeing what works for you in terms of weight management.
When it comes to keeping the weight on, the same idea comes to play. Continue doing what you were previously doing. Eat, train, sleep, and drink your water. These daily habits that you have developed over time will help you keep that weight on. Eventually your body will get used to the amount of food you're currently eating and you may need to increase your calorie intake. If that's the case your nutrition coach can help you. With training keep progressively overloading. This will help you with your strength and muscle gain which will potentially lead to weight gain.
